It is also a nice size for travel. It uses photographs rather than drawings, which has it's limitations. As it focuses overall on the more common birds, it is very helpful in many situations, but the absence of distribution maps|About the Author|Peter Davidson is an expert on the birds of Southeast Asia, having studied and photographed them for many years and worked on various projects for BirdLife International in the region.
